Another way of working is with the six directions - South, West, North, East, Above and Below (or the ten directions if we wish to explore those in-between).  This can give us a way of working in balance, expanding our experience and our horizons.  It is balance that is so important to our fulfilment.

We only have to look at Nature, to see life in balance.  Where there is Night, there is Day.  Where there is Winter, there is Spring.  Where there is Life, there is Death.  Where there is Joy, there is Pain.  Cycles.  No one part exists without the other.

This is true of us and our lives.  The directions are one way of seeing and living the cycle in our own lives.  We do not need to judge 'good' versus 'bad', but we all know there are times of joy and sadness, birth and death, work and play, and love and loss.  And the cycle of growth from child to teenage and adult to elder moves through our lives.  All is natural and irrevocable.

By living in the present, learning to experience each aspect of our own cycles of growth, we can expand our vision and our awareness.  We can become truly alive.
